Barb “Dusty” Urness is a builder, creative and hard working Jane-of-all-trades. When she’s not managing building mischief at the Hotel Donaldson she’s volunteering her skills to help others. Having dabbled in mosaics and plaster casting, working in wood is a comfortable place for her.
Dusty’s stick is inspired by the split rail fences lining Minnesota’s lush farmland. The inclusion of steel rods is a lovely, yet pointed reminder of the industrialization of our area and the changes, both good and bad, which it has heralded.
